LindaThe well known canadian pianist Linda Lee Thomas, main figure of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and the argentine Franco Luciani will be playing again together in Buenos Aires, next Friday and Saturday.
They will be playing songs by the greatest, Astor Piazzolla and Aníbal Troilo, among others.
This gathering has also had place in Canada during 2008 and 2010 in the Vancouver Festival and The Vancouver Academy of Music. This time we will be proud of having them play at the prestigious Teatro San Martín.
Linda Lee Thomas is the main pianist of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and The Orchestra of the Vancouver Radio since 1972. She was also the director of the Master pieces of the Vancouver East Cultural Centre for 17 years. In 2000, she was included in the British Columbia Entertainment Hall of Fame because of her contribution in the industry of entertainment.
Her passion is Tango. Since she first entered to the tango international scene, she has become the most popular tango player of Canada, recording with many famous argentine bandoneonists such as Daniel Binelly and Nestor marconi.
Known in her country as "The Queen of Tango" she has now got her own tango trio, Tangissimo, composed of Ed Henderson (guitar) and Miles Foxx Hill (double bass). This amazing trio has played for thousends and recorded cds. Their cd "Tangissimo Live" has been chosen as one of the best cds of 2002 by the CBC Radio Canada Espace Musique.

The big event takes place in the San Martin Theatre, 1530 Corrientes ave. "Music at the hall"
